I have been dealing with acne for over 10 years now and can honestly say it is something that if you let it, can control you! It causes self confidence issues that can make someone that used to be the most confident person not want to leave the house and nearly 17 million people in the United States have acne, making it the most common skin disease whether you are in your teen or adult years. The reason I am writing this post about acne is because I am sure there are a lot of people out there that have tried everything for acne like I have and came to the conclusion that they might have to live with this embarrassing skin disease forever but believe me you DO NOT have to suffer. When I was in high school I started to develop acne, my mom took me to the doctor and back then they didn’t have as much stuff out there as they do now so I got no help for years and years after trying tons and tons of inexpensive and expensive cleansers and kits I gave up. I just bought cheap stuff and maintained my acne, it was all just little milia so it wasn’t that bothersome, I would just put on makeup and deal with it. I dealt with it for about 5 years and then I heard of this place called the acne clinics and you need no referral you just make an appointment and see a dermatologist, so I made an appointment and went for my first appointment, I was so excited! I was prescribed Retin-A 0.4% gel and along with microdermabrasion treatments (only 3) all of my milia was gone! I used it for 2 years and never had one single pimple! And here is where it all went downhill…..after I got married my husband and I started talking about having babies and my doctor told me that I would have to go off of Retin-A a couple months before trying to conceive because it is potentially dangerous to a growing fetus so I didn’t think twice about it, I mean I will deal with pimples for 9 months if it means having a healthy baby! So I slowly weaned myself off of the gel and then I started to get the little bumps back L but then I started to get cystic acne :0 I was devastated! My dermatologist said that I NEED to be on chemicals in order to get rid of my acne and I just didn’t believe it, I thought there has to be something out there that is all natural to use for acne and I stumbled across a product called Lerosett, it is all natural and has no chemicals in it.
